Elon Musk says AI is existential risk at UK safety summit

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has stated that artificial intelligence (AI) faces a huge existential threat at a safety conference in the UK. He warned about AI’s potential to create systems that can bypass human control and could lead to unintended consequences.

In his speech at the conference, Musk emphasized the need for deep understanding and careful management when developing and deploying artificial intelligence. He warned that without necessary controls, AI could become a dangerous threat to humans.

Musk also talked about the need for a global oversight mechanism to ensure that AI applications are developed and used in a safe and beneficial way for humanity. He proposed that governments and international organizations need to work closely to provide regulations and guidelines on the application of artificial intelligence.

However, Musk also emphasized that AI can bring great benefits if used properly and with appropriate safety and control measures. He called for the cooperation of the entire international community to ensure that the potential of artificial intelligence is developed in a sustainable way that benefits everyone.
